Lovable pricing and free plan limits (2026, tested)
Lovable's plans and free-plan limits, re-read from Lovable's own pricing page and docs on 18 Oct 2026, next to what one real build used on the free plan in our test.
Short answer: Lovable's free plan gives 5 build credits a day, but no more than 30 a month (Verified, read 18 Oct 2026). The cheapest paid plan is Pro, $25 a month for 100 credits. In our test (16 Oct 2026), one working multi-user app with login and a database used 2.10 build credits on the free plan (Observed), so the free plan covers about 2 builds that size a day and about 12 a month (Inferred).

What the free plan actually got us Observed
- The build: one multi-user to-do app with email login, a database and a public URL, from one fixed prompt, on a fresh free account with default settings (16 Oct 2026). It worked first time: 100/100, under 4 min to a live app, zero fix prompts.
- Used: 2.10 build credits. Lovable's usage panel after the run: "Last 30 days: 2.10 credits"; daily build credits 2.9 left of 5.
- What broke: No functional bugs found in 10 feature checks, security checks or mobile checks. Password minimum is only 6 characters.

How many simple apps the free plan covers Inferred
- Builds that size on the free plan: about 2 a day and about 12 a month. 5 ÷ 2.10 = 2 builds a day. Daily grants stop after 30 credits a month (6 days), so 6 × 2 = 12.
- Value of our build at the cheapest paid rate: about $0.53. 2.10 credits × $0.25 a credit on Pro ($25 ÷ 100). You pay the subscription, not this amount.
- This assumes every build costs what our one clean run did. Real apps are bigger and need fixes, so expect fewer.
When the free plan runs out
- Building stops until your daily build credits reset at 00:00 UTC. Once the workspace has been granted 30 in a calendar month, nothing more arrives until the 1st (Verified).
- Chat mode keeps working while the daily chat allowance lasts, because it does not depend on your credit balance (Verified). Use it to plan the next change without spending build credits (Inferred).
- Your published site stays live. If the app's built-in backend runs out of credits to draw on, Lovable says backend services pause until credits are available again (Verified). The free plan's Cloud grant is 20 credits a month.
- The cheapest way past the cap is Pro at $25 a month for 100 credits, which also removes the 30-a-month cap on daily build credits (Verified). At our run's usage, 100 credits is about 47 builds of the same size (Inferred: 100 ÷ 2.10, assuming paid credits meter like free ones; Lovable says credit value can differ between plans).
